| Artist
God speaks to humanity with unlimited, infinite, and creative ways. A Christian artist attempts to capture God's message as it is painted in our heart, depicted in our head and flows into our hands with the hope of capturing what our soul has seen to be seen on canvas. I deeply appreciate the true craftsmen who shape the clay, reveal life on a canvas or weave yarn and mold metal into true pieces of art. My artistic contributions are admittedly rudimentary examples of my self expression. I enjoy revealing my love for God and what I believe God is trying to say through my own creativity through painting and photography. My abstract renditions are just another way to communicate my faith and beliefs through mediums beyond the spoken and written word. I hope you will be able to hear, feel, and act on the message I am trying to communicate through each one of them. I give only "One" word titles for each painting or picture in hopes that you will help write the rest of the story behind each one and weave them into your life and your expressions of faith.

Comfort
Comfort, was a birthday gift for my sister, Becky. She says the most comfortable thing you can do is put on a pair of jeans. I agree. Wearing a pair of blue jeans is relaxing. However, the greatest comfort is found in Christ. Hopefully, all of us are finding the comfort of Christ wherever we go and whatever we are wearing. I always thought it was unique to notice that a good pair of blue jeans is held together by the quality of its seams. Do you trust in God to be the seamstress for your life? People of all ages have bought a copy of this print, but especially young people and college kids who enjoy a creative piece of art hanging in their room or dorm that reflects their lifestyle and their faith. Are we comfortable with our faith wherever we are and whatever we do?Where do you find comfort?

| Ram |
|
| Ram ( Ram in the Thicket: Genesis 22) Abraham takes his son and lay him on the altar as a sacrifice and as instructed by God. The scripture gives us an indication that God never intended for Abraham to sacrifice his son. The sacrifice would be reserved for God's only begotten son, Jesus Christ. However, God did test Abraham and his faith. Abraham was faithful and obedient. The Ram in the Thicket reminds us that God will always provide and never forsake his children of faith. No matter what we are going through we need to trust and believe in the promises of God. God is Sovereign. We all go through tests and trials in life. God will always provide a path forward. The challenge is that when e go through a time of testing we look for the answer. We keep looking for the solution, the ram in the thicket. However, God does not want us to look for the ram but to keep our eyes on Christ. Christ is the answer. God will reveal the solution, the ram in God timing and God way of grace and mercy.
The ram in not perfect in the picture. The ram is a reminder that only Christ is the perfect solution, the perfect ram, the lamb of God. Do not worry the Ram is in the thicket. But do not look for the Ram just continue to be obedient and faithful to Christ. God will provide !

Betrayed
Jesus has been beaten, flogged, and only a step away from being crucified. He looks back over his shoulder and sees Judas. Jesus' own humanity experiences the sharp pain of being betrayed. The power of sin and betrayal ripples and cascades like a pebble dropped in the ocean of Jesus' soul. And yet with one more step of faith and obedience Jesus is lifted up and placed on the cross. He forgives Judas, he forgives you, he forgives me. He is our Savior. But for one moment, with all of humanity's sin on his own human shoulders he is Betrayed. At a closer look, maybe he is not looking over his shoulder to see Judas but to see you or me. How have we betrayed Christ? How will we serve him as Savior and Lord?

Bride
The Bride symbolizes the Christian Church. At times, the Christian Church(the Bride) appears to be standing at the altar and awaiting for the groom (Jesus Christ) instead of working in the fields and harvesting eternal life. The organized church to often buries their talents in the dirt instead of getting their hands dirty for God's glory. The Bride's keen eyes are "cutting" and wondering where her groom is and why has Christ not returned and embraced her. Has the Groom stood up the Bride? The Bride's veil has been pulled back exposing both her beauty, faith and flaws. Her eyes are like doves, her hair is like a flock of goats, her teeth like a flock of sheep, her lips like a scarlet ribbon, and her neck is like the tower of David (Song of Songs 4). The Bride is strong and capable, but in too many cases she is passive and has not built the strength of her arms in fulfilling the will of God. While at the same time she has the gifts and talent to do God's will in her own hands. She will blossom as she discovers her own true beauty in Christ instead of the tradition and trappings she cloaks herself in. Is the Bride perturbed because she believes she had done enough for Christ and awaits at the altar for his return? Does she not realize they are already married and she should join him in experiencing true life? There the Bride will find her joy and her strength. Where are you as the bride of Christ? Are you at the altar? On your honeymoon? Or in the fields of life and reaping a harvest?

| Shark
I love to paint. It relaxes me. The Shark is actually a painters palette. Do you see the Shark's eye ? The shark is trying to save future canvases. The Shark is trying to eat my last tube of paint and save a canvas as three paintbrushes use this opportunity to escape. I am one of the few and selected artists that can depreciate a canvas once purchased. You may want to purchase one of my paintings or prints. You know that your investment must at least go up in time. :)

Greed
We can all focus to much on material things. My wallet appears to be growing on a green tree. I guess the question is what is in your wallet? And what is in your heart?
Proverbs 21:26
King James Version (KJV)
He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.

Decision
Sometimes decisions appear to be black and white. But in many cases we mentally, emotionally and spiritually go through many stages of decision making, All shades of Black, Gray, and White until we find the right decision. This painting depicts the decision of Joseph, Jesus' earthly dad. Joseph finds out that Mary is pregnant. He has the right to have Mary stoned to death. Joseph holds the stone in his hand to cast the first stone. As Joseph depends on the Spirit of God he captures the vision and purpose God has for both him, Mary and baby Jesus. Joseph drops the stone.
As you look carefully, Joseph's hand is shaped in the form of a donkey, with a pregnant Mary riding the donkey. Joseph has made a wise decision. He turns loose of the stone and any anger or doubt. Joseph walks into God's purpose and vision for his Life.
What decision are you pondering ? How and what will influence or help you make that decision ?

Communion
God has called us to celebrate Communion or the Lord's Supper on a regular basis. We are asked to remember the sacrifice of Christ. In this painting the communion has a chancel already filled with wine and the bread and grapes around the Cup. The grapes remind us that it takes time and commitment to turn grapes into a fine wine. Jesus is that wine. The more we understand, appreciate and celebrate the sacrifice of Christ and our salvation are we willing to offer our own sacrifice. Are we willing to give the time and commitment that God has called us to do today? Are we offering our best to Christ and His beloved Church?
What grapes are ripe in your life? What grapes are ready to be turned into a fine wine that will honor God and refresh the Body of Christ? Are we waiting for someone else to fill our Cup with their sacrifice or have we truly tasted the fruit of Christ and willing to sacrifice to help and serve others?

Resurrection
No matter what trials, tests, and tribulations we go through we remain steadfast. We do not lose hope or heart in this world. We trust in the promises of God. One day we will be transformed and changed in the twinkling of an eye. We will be resurrected and live forever and forever.
2 Corinthians 4 1 Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. 2Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God. 3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.

| Cancer
We all carry cancer cells inside our bodies. The key is that our immune system is equipped to remove the cancer cells from our system on a daily basis. Sometimes our immune system fails and the cancer can randomly and quickly grow. My mother is dying of stage 4 breast cancer. Her immune system is failing her, but her faith is not. In its odd way the cancer has its own beauty. I have seen how this terrible disease has strengthened my mother's faith, my father's devotion and has in many ways greatly impacted family members and friends. Many loving people have sacrificially offered their time and devotion to offer love and care to my mother and our family. The cancer has a side of destruction and despair.Tthe cancer also has a side of hope, faith and love.
In many ways my mother taught us how to live and grow as children of God. Now she is teaching us how to die by living in the midst of cancer.
May we all live like today is the last day of our life on earth but the continuation of our eternal life in Jesus Christ. Celebrate life. Live !
